south. The current rescue mission shall be limited to providing housing for no <br />more than 400 persons per night.. The limit of 400 shall include both single <br />adults and family members, in a ratio to be determined by the mission at its <br />sole discretion. This provision is expressly intended not to limit the mission's <br />ability to provide temporary housing above the capacity limit in emergency <br />situations for short periods of time. The mission's infirmary beds are not to <br />be included in, or affected by, this capacity limit. <br />Section 2. That the matters contained herein concern the public health, welfare and <br />safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall <br />become effective immediately upon its adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor, <br />retention by the Mayor for more than ten days, or readoption over a Mayoral veto by two- <br />thirds of alI members of the City Council. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br />~SY day of uUuS7 , 1994 <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />day of ~ , 1994 <br />~--.. //~ <br />V <br />City Recorder <br />Mayor <br />
