Dead or dying trees or shrubs that are an <br />~~ imminent danger to public health and safety as <br />determined by the planning director ar designee. <br />Removal shall only be authorized after all other <br />reasonable alternatives have been examined and proven <br />impractical , and i f the removal represents the minimum <br />necessary to meet the objectives of the proposed use; <br />c. Dead or dried native plants or grasses only <br />when they constitute an imminent fire hazard, as <br />determined by the fire marshal ; <br />d. Native vegetation to facilitate or encourage <br />the growth of other native species as called for i n <br />.adopted plans or policies; <br />e. The minimum area of native vegetation <br />necessary far approved uses or conditional uses or uses <br />allowed by an exception as specified i n sections 9.262 <br />and 9.264. <br />2 . Removal of vegetation for development of permitted <br />uses, approved conditional uses, or development allowed by an <br />exception as specified i n sections 9.262 and 9.264, shat i be <br />the minimum necessary for the proposed use. <br />3. Clearing of more than 0.1 contiguous acre of <br />vegetation on slopes greater than 5°/~ must be either: <br />a. Conducted between April 15 and October l5, <br />or <br />b. Preceded by approval of an erosion and <br />sedimentation control plan by the planning directors <br />which must be implemented throughout the ci eari ng <br />process. <br />4. Clearing of vegetation that is not in preparation <br />for development must be followed by replanting in accordance <br />with the requirements of this section. <br />5.
