A similar <br />approach is used for driveway adjustments for roadway improvements in that the adjustment <br />costs are included in the cost per front foot and are allocated to all the affected properties. In <br />both designs, the grade of the improvement is set to match as close as practical with the <br />surrounding round and to assure appropriate drainage can be provided. Since the adjustments <br />are an integral element of completing an alley improvement in an existing setting, the long <br />standing practice has been to distribute these costs to all affected properties. <br />REC~MMENDATI~N <br />The final improvement costs are lower than quoted at the local improvement hearing and are <br />comparable to pro}ects of similar size.
