~ c } Through a forma 1 eva 1 uati on , conducted every four years <br />by an evaluation committee. <br />The informal evaluation shal 1 consist of a compl eted self-evaluation form, <br />together with evaluation forms campl eted by representatives of the department of <br />public safety, the city prosecutor's office, and the public defender's office. <br />The formal evaluation process sha11 i ncl ude a publ i c hearing . Members of the <br />evaluation committee sha11 be nominated by the mayor and appointed by the <br />council . The committee shal 1 be composed of not 1 ess than five persons, <br />including at 1 east one member of the human rights cammi ssi on , two attorneys <br />farm 1 i ar with the municipal court, and two other persons generally farm 1 i ar with <br />the judi ci a1 system. The eva1 uati on report shat 1 be submitted to and accepted <br />by the council . Salaries of the presiding municipal judge and associate <br />municipal judge sha11 be reviewed as part of the city's budget process, and a <br />written recommendation of proposed rates sha 1 l be submitted to the counci 1. <br />Se ~i n ~ .
