This is <br />primarily because of the difficulty in obtaining the information over the eight-year period <br />as building permit tracking systems changed and some information, including lot size, <br />was not collected over the entire period. <br /> <br />Housing Type <br /> <br />In fiscal year 2000, building permits were approved for 1,314 units. The majority, 65 <br />percent, of these units was single-family, detached. Approximately 9 percent were <br />single-family, attached; 18 percent apartments; and 8 percent manufactured dwellings in <br />parks. The Residential Land and Housing Study assumed the future housing need during <br />the 1992 to 2015 period to be 40 percent single-family, detached; 12 percent single- <br />. family, attached; 35 percent apartments; and 13 percent manufactured dwellings in parks. <br /> <br />5 <br />
