Message

.

Page 3 of3

If you have any questions, feel free to call.
Deborah P. Jeffries
Rivel'Ridge Golf Complex
3800 North Delta Highway
Eugene, OR 97408

541-345-9160 ext. 100

---Original Message-----
From: RINER Andrea G [maifto:Andrea.G.RINER@cLeugene.or.us]
Sent: Wednesday, March 09, 2005 12:45 PM
To: Debbie Jeffries
SUbject: RE: New contact submitted for Andrea Riner

If you have a day in mind for an appointment. let me know and I should have some
available times for that date.

I Just want to assure you that the linear park delineation does not infer land acquisition nor
public access. It simply recognizes the high priority that we've heard expressed for a parks
and recreation system that is strongly grounded in our .livers and ridges". We would want
to look at a range of options in order to work with property owners and other stakeholders
as to the best way to accomplish this. Options may include water trails (boating routes
between select public open space areas), land trails, conservation easements, private
partnerships, etc. It absolutely does not require solid public ownership of land on one or
both sides of the river.

The Comprehensive Plan is a broad plan which describes fairly general goals for parks,
recreation and open space for the future. Any specific projects that would be implemented
following plan adoption would also have to go through their own set of public involvement
efforts. Also, the recommendation for the linear park in the current plan is taken directly
from two pre-existing documents. One is the recent "Rivers to Ridges. regional parks and
open space study (lCOG June 2003), and the other is the Eugene Parks and Recreation
Plan that was adopted by City Council in 1989.

We are hoping to get to the Planning Commission in May, but I don't believe a date has
been set I can let you know when I have an exact date, but there will also be public
notification.

---.Original Message-----
From: Debbie Jeffries [maitto:djeffries@riverlidgeor.com]
Sent: TuesdaYI March 08,2.0059:29 AM
To: Andrea Riner.
Subject: New contact submitted for Andrea Riner

Contact Date: 3/8/2005
Contact Time: 9:29:20 AM
Referring page: www.ci.eugene.or.us/PARKS!PROS/compplan.htm

From: Debbie Jeffries
To: Andrea Riner

Message:
I would like to make an appointment to speak to you about the PROS
plan.
