Subsection X37 of Section 6.446 of the Eugene Cade, 1971, i s <br />amended to provide <br />6.446 Di schar e of Forei n Matter ~ Preventati ve Devices . <br />~3~ No person shal 1 discharge, or cause to be discharged, i nta the <br />city stormwater system any substance other than stormwater, except discharges <br />resulting from fire fighting activities , or discharges authorized by written <br />approval of the city manager or the manager's designee. The city manager may <br />deny approval to di scharge i nto the city stormwater system i f the discharge poses <br />a threat to health, safety, public wet fare, or the environment, or i s otherwise <br />prahi bi ted by 1 aw. The city manager may withdraw approval to discharge i f the <br />manager determines that a di scharge poses a threat to health, safety, pub1 i c <br />welfare, or the environment, ar i s otherwise prahi bi ted by 1 aw. Any person <br />1 awful 1y discharging pursuant to a Nati ona1 Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System permit as of July 24, 1996 shall be deemed to have received written <br />approval from the city manager. Such approval may be withdrawn i f the manager <br />determines that the discharge poses a threat to health, safety, public wet fare, <br />or the environment , or i s otherwise prahi bi ted by 1 aw. The city manager may <br />adopt rut es pursuant to section 2.019 of this code to define spec? fi c <br />ordinance - 2 <br />
