renumbered (1), (2>, (3), (4>, (5), and (6> respectively, and amended to provide: <br />9.085 Improvements - Specifications. <br />(1) Improvements -Water Su~~IX. All lots and parcels within <br />subdivisions and partitions shall be served by the water system of the Eugene <br />Water & Electric Board. <br />(2) Improvements - Sewage. All lots and parcels within sub- <br />divisions and partitions shall, where practicable, as determined by the planning <br />and public works directors, in accordance with the purpose of section 9.020, be <br />served by the sewage system of the city. <br />(3) Improvements -Land Surface Drainage. Such grading shall be <br />done and such drainage facilities shall be constructed by the land divider as are <br />adequate for the purpose of proper drainage of the partition or subdivision, of <br />areas affected thereby, and for the preservation of healthful and convenient <br />surroundings and conditions for residents of the subdivision or partition, and <br />for the general public, in accordance with standards and specifications adopted <br />pursuant to section 7.085 of this code. <br />(4) Imarovements - Streets and Alleys. The land divider shall <br />grade and pave all streets and alleys in the subdivision or partition to the <br />width specified in section 9.045 and provide for drainage of all such streets and <br />alleys, and construct curbs and gutters within the subdivision or partition in <br />accordance with standards and specifications adopted pursuant to section 7.085. <br />Private streets and alleys are prohibited unless the developer can demonstrate <br />to the city's satisfaction that a public street is not necessary for compliance <br />with this code and the street connectivity standards of section 9.045. <br />(5) .Improvements -Sidewalks. Sidewalks shall be located, designed <br />and constructed in accordance with the provisions of this code and construction <br />and design standards adopted pursuant to section 7.085. <br />(6) Imarovements - Bicycle Paths and Accessway~. Pedestrian/ <br />bicycle ways shall be designed and constructed in accordance with provisions of <br />this code and construction and design standards adopted pursuant to section <br />7.085. <br />Section 20. Subsections (3) and (4) of Section 9.510 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, are amended to provide <br />9.510 General Provisions. <br />(3) Phasing. If approved at the time of tentative plan consider- <br />ation, final plans may be submitted in phases. The phasing shall progress in a <br />sequence that promotes street connectivity between the various phases of the <br />Ordinance - 17 <br />
