ORDINANCE NO, 20157 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE DEFINITION OF <br />"METRO PLAN AMENDMENT HOME CITY" AND <br />AMENDING SECTION 9.015 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />A. In November and December 199$, the elected officials of Eugene, Sprin field and <br />g <br />Lane County unanimously adopted amendments to the Eugene-Springf eld Metro olitan Area <br />p <br />General Plan ~"Metro Plan"} text to transfer jurisdiction of Glenwood from Eugene to S rin field. <br />p g <br />Springfield Ordinance No. 5900, November 1 ~, 1998; Lane County Grdinance No. PA 11223 <br />November 16, 1998; Eugene City Council Grdinance No. 20133, December 7, 1998 . The <br />} <br />amendments took effect in January 1999. <br />B. Section II-C, page II-C-1 of the Metro Plan was revised to read: "The division of <br />responsibility between the two cities is the Interstate 5 Highway;" and Policy S.b., Pian Amendments <br />and Refinements, pages IV-2 and IV-3, was amended to state that "Springf eld is the home ci for <br />amendments east of I-5, and Eugene is the home city for amendments west of I-5." <br />C. The Eugene, Springfield and Lane County codes contain definitions of "Metro Plan <br />amendment home city" that must be revised for conformance with the Metro Plan text amendments. <br />D. Dn March 5, 1999, notice of the Planning Commission public hearing on the <br />proposed code amendment was sent to the Glenwood Community organization. Gn April 6,1999, <br />the Eugene Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed change. No testimon was <br />Y <br />received and the Eugene Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the <br />code amendment. <br />Grdinance -1 <br />
