LOWE Allen 0

From:
Sent:
To:
Cc:
Subject:

pamela pearce [pamj88@hotmaiLcom]
Tuesday, November 08,200512:29 AM
*Eugene Mayor and City Council
LOWE Allen 0
Chambers Node Revisited - please support the Chambers Area Special Zone

Dear Mayor Piercy and City Councilors,

I'm writing about the public hearing scheduled for Monday, November 14
addressing the Land Use Code and Zoning Map Amendments.

My family and I live at 987 Alamden and we love this neighborhood. With
charming homes, beautiful greenscape, including many large trees, and great
neighbors, it really has all we want in a neighborhood. From our house we
walk or bicycle to downtown regularly.

As you know, our area is under constant threat from negative infill which is
seriously degrading the neighborhood. Fortunately, the City has been
conducting the Chambers Revisited project in an effort to put in place
design standards that make sense, from the standpoint of preserving the
neighborhood character and allowing for infill that contributes in a
positive way. I believe the standards proposed by the City Planning Dept.
are appropriate for our neighborhood, flexible, and will also allow for
increased (but thoughtful) density.

Please support the Chambers Area Special Zone and adopt the proposed
standards.

Thanks,

Pamela Pearce
987 Almaden St
Eugene, OR 97402

1
