A compl ete <br />application shal 1 be an application where all required information i s provided <br />to allow the city to make a determination On the application. <br />~3} When required, the applicant shal 1 submit proof that work wi 11 <br />be done by a contractor licensed i n compliance with 1 ocal ar state law to per- <br />form the specialized tasks required for constructi an of the proposed sign. <br />9. lOlfi Sign Code -Approval of ,,,P,ermi t Appl.,,~,cati on. <br />~1} The city shall approve a sign permit upon finding that the <br />applicant has met all requirements of the Eugene sign code. <br />~ 2 } No permit shall be approved for the construct i on of a s i gn <br />where the applicant or business occupant intending to use the proposed sign <br />presently owns or uses a nonconforming sign in conjunction with a business <br />located at the development site proposed as the l acct i on of the new sign . <br />~3} An approved sign permit shall expire 90 days after the appl i- <br />cant has been notified of the approval of the permit unless the applicant has <br />paid al 1 fees and the approved permit has been issued to the applicant. <br />~4} Unless the permit holder requests an extension of the permit <br />and demonstrates good cause for such an extension, a sign permit shall expire <br />if the sign construction or other work authorized by a sign permit is not <br />completed within 180 days after the date of issue. <br />45} .No sign construction shall be considered finally complete <br />unto 1 the perms t holder has note f ~ ed the c~ ty that work i s finished and the <br />city i s satisfied that the sign construction has been completed i n canformi ty <br />with the approved plans and otherwise complies with the Eugene sign code. <br />~fi} If a permi t i s denied, the applicant shall recei ve a noti ce of <br />denial i n writing, setting forth the reasons for the denial . <br />~7} A decision granting or denying a sign permit may be appealed <br />to a heari ngs official . The provisions of section 9.742 of this code apply <br />to such an appeal. The decision of the hearings official is final. <br />9.1020 Sign Code -General ,,,_,Proyi si ons.
