~rdi nonce ~. 3O <br />and uses actually permitted in those situations are precisely listed in the <br />Standard industrial Classification ~S1C} Manual as defined in section 9.015. <br />Section 18. Section 9.496 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby amended <br />to read and provide: <br />9.49fi Home Dccu ation Standards. Any occupation or profession carried <br />on in a dwelling in a residential zoning district sha11 be subject <br />to the following standards: <br />~a} The home occupation must be located entirely within the <br />dwelling, garage, or an accessory building of the person conduct <br />ing the home occupation. <br />fib} Signs shall be subject to the provisions of the Residen- <br />tial Sign District in the Sign Code. There shall be one sign <br />permitted, which shall consist of a maximum of one and one-half <br />square feet in surface area. The sign shall be attached to the <br />dwelling and indicate only the name of the occupant or home occu~ <br />pati on . <br />~c} There shall be no display, other than the allowed sign, <br />that will indicate from the exterior of the building that the <br />property is being used for any purpose other than a dwelling. <br />~d} There shall be no outside storage of materials other <br />than plant materials. <br />fie} There shall be no detrimental effect on the residential <br />character of the surrounding neighborhood through generation of <br />excessive traffic or on-street parking, violation of city noise <br />or other performance standards, excessive, late, or early hours <br />of operation, regular freight truck delivery of more than once a <br />week, or other incompatible activities not in keeping with adja- <br />cent residential uses. <br />~f} The home occupation shall not result in any structural <br />alterations or additions to the dwelling that will change its <br />primary use. <br />fig} The dwelling shall not be used as a headquarters for the <br />assembly of employees for instruction or other purposes, including <br />dispatch to other locations. <br />~h} There shall be a limit of one business vehicle per home <br />occupation. <br />~i} Other than dwelling residents, there shall be a maximum <br />of two employees per home occupation. <br />~ j } . 7 n addition to required parking i n conjunction with the <br />dwelling, there shall be off-street parking spaces to accommodate <br />all employee and business vehicles. <br />~k} An adult resident in the dwelling shall be employed in <br />the home occupation. <br />Section 19. Section 9.495 of the Eugene Code, 1911, is hereby amended <br />to read and provide: <br />
