Section 9.8D2 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to read <br />and provide: <br />9.8D2 Mobi 1_e__Homes - Descr,i p Purpose. The regulations contained <br />_ _ _ ton and ~_ <br />in sections 9.8DZ to 9.518 are intended to provide a suitable <br />living environment for residents of mobile homes and set forth development <br />standards that will be compatible with adjacent land uses. <br />Section 5. Subsection ~f) of Section 9.806 of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />is amended to read and provide: <br />9.8D6 Mobile Homes - Permitted Locations. Unless otherwise provided <br />herein, upon compliance with applicable regulations and processes <br />mobile homes for dwelling purposes only shall be permitted: <br />~f} Dutside mobile home parks or mobile home subdivisions, <br />provided, however, a mobile home may not be used for sleeping or <br />living purposes fora period of time in excess of 72 hours unless <br />it conforms to the following standards: <br />1. Minimum lot size per mobile home: 4,500 square <br />feet. <br />~. Roof materials; Composition shingle, woad shake, <br />ar other non-~ref 1 ecti ve materials al 1 owed by the State Struc- <br />tural Specialty Cade. <br />3. Roof pitch: A three foot rise for every twelve <br />feet across. <br />4. Minimum size and dimensions: Double-wide, 24 by <br />40 feet; 960 square feet of floor area. <br />5. Wheels, axles, hitches, and travel lights must be <br />removed. <br />6. The area under the mobile home must be excavated <br />and a permanent foundation or retaining structure installed. <br />The area around and under the mobile home must be adequately <br />drained. The mobile home can be a maximum of 18 inches above <br />the average surrounding grade. <br />7. Mobi 1 e home and accessory building foundations and <br />structures must be of sufficient strength to support the re- <br />quired live-loads and actual dead-loads imposed by the mobile <br />home and any attached or supported structure based on accept- <br />ed engineering standards. Foundations, tie-downs, and other <br />supports must be able to withstand the specified horizontal, <br />up-lift and overturning wind forces on the mobile home and <br />ordinance - 5 <br />
