ORDINANCE N0, 19353 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER; AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 3.810 AND 3.512 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The caption preceding Section 3.510 of the Eugene Code, 1911, <br />and Sections 3,510 and 3.812 are amended to provide: <br />Hult Center for the Performing Arts - Patron User Fee <br />3.810 Hult Center for the Performin Arts Patron User Fee, <br />~1} For purposes of this section, the following words and phrases <br />mean: <br />Admission fee. The dollar amount charged, whether or not <br />received, for entry to an event. <br />Event. A performance, presentation, demonstration, exhibi- <br />tion, or meeting at the Hult Center far the Performing Arts to <br />which the public is invited. <br />Person, As defined in subsection fie} of section 3.770 of <br />this chapter.. . <br />Barter. The exchange of an admission fee fora commodit or <br />y <br />service. <br />~2} For the privilege of attending an event there is hereby added <br />to the admission fee for each attendee a patron user fee of $0.50. The <br />patron user fee shall be: <br />~a} collected at the time the admission fee is paid, <br />fib} in addition to the admission fee, and <br />~c} separately stated an any receipt for the admission fee. <br />~3} Any admission established by the executive director of the <br />center or his/her designees}, to be a complimentary admission or to be used <br />for the purpose of bartering, shall not be subject to the patron user fee. <br />3.812 Hult Center for the Performin Arts Patron User Fee - Administra- <br />tion and Collection. <br />~ 1} Cal 1 ecti an of admission fees and patron user fees for al 1 <br />events shall be under the direction and control of the city manager. The <br />city manager may contract with persons to collect admission fees and patron <br />user fees. The city manager may adopt rules and regulations to insure all <br />fees are collected. The rules and regulations may provide for the payment of <br />the fees by the use of credit cards, <br />~2} The city manager or his ar her designate shall deposit all <br />patron user fees collected pursuant to section 3.810 in the Performing Arts <br />Unearned Income Fund, <br />~3} No official or employee of the city may disclose any informa- <br />tion regarding the business of a person required to pay or collect the <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
