ORDINANCE NO. 19366 <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A RI~IERFRONT RESEARCH PARK COMMISSION; <br />AMENDING SECTION 2.013 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; ADDING <br />5ECTIONS 2.220, 2.222, 2.224, AND 2.226 TD THAT CODE; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOI~S: <br />Section 1. Section 2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended by add- <br />ing the designation for the Riverfront Research Park Commission in alphabeti- <br />cal order therein to read and provide: <br />2.013 <br />Riverfront Research Park Commission <br />No. of Members: 7 <br />Appointment Process: 4 members selected by the President of <br />the University of Oregon and appointed <br />by the Mayor <br />3 members nominated by the Mayor, <br />appointed by the Counci 1 <br />Term: 2 years <br />.Authority: EC 2.220 <br />Section 2. The following sections are added to the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />to read and provide: <br />2.220 Riverfront Research .Park Commission -Created. A ri verf rout <br />research park commission is established to make recommendations to <br />the city and the University of Oregon in connection with the develapment of <br />the Riverfront Research Park property. It is the intent that cooperative <br />efforts between the city and the University of Oregon will be focused in this <br />commission, which will provide a forum for public participation and public <br />comment on plans and actions necessary for the develapment of the Riverfront <br />Research Park property. <br />2.222 Riverfront Research Park Commission - Duties. <br />~1~ In making its recommendations to the city and to the President <br />of the University of Oregon, the ri verf rout research park commission shat 1 <br />conduct research, held hearings, study, investigate, analyze, and make ex- <br />pert evaluations of proposals, concerning development for the Riverfront <br />Research Park property. <br />~2} At the joint request of the city and the University of Oregon, <br />the commission shall make recommendations regarding the application of pro- <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
