ORDINANCE NO. 19375 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE HULT CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING <br />ARTS; AMENDING SECTIONS 2.013, 2.630, 2.632, 2.634, AND <br />2.636 DF THE EUGENE CODE, 1911; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FD LLOWS: <br />Section 1. The designation for the Performing Arts Commission contained <br />in Section 2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1971 is amended and rearranged in <br />alphabetical order therein, to read and provide: <br />2.013 <br />Hutt Center Perf armi n <br />Arts Commission <br />No. of Members: <br />9 <br />Appointment Process: Mayor nominates, Council appoints <br />Term: 4 years <br />Authority: EC 2.630, EC 2.634 <br />Section 2. Sections 2.630, 2.632, 2.634, and 2.636 of the Eugene Code, <br />1971, are amended to read and provide: <br />2.634 Hult Center Performin Arts Commission - Created. A performing <br />arts commission is established to serve as an advisory body to <br />the council on policy matters anal to the city manager and center director on <br />operational matters relating to the Hult Center for the Performing Arts. <br />2.632 Hul t Center Performi n Arts Commission ~- Duties. <br />~1) The commission shall consider, and when appropriate, submit <br />by resolution its recommendations on policy to the council and on opera- <br />tional matters to the city manager and center director. Recommendations of <br />the commission may include its consideration of such matters as: <br />~a~ Whether the center is meeting the needs of the community <br />to the degree possible, and the commission shall monitor community <br />opinion in arriving at its evaluations; <br />fib} Long-range plans for the operational use of the center; <br />~c~ Processes concerning types of tenant leases, subscription <br />programs, audience development programs, and other similar long- <br />term projects as may come before the board; <br />~d~ Coordination of center activates with other agencies <br />within and outside the jurisdiction of the city in a manner that <br />will manimi~e conflicts and duplication; <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
