oRniN~cg No . ! ~ 3 9 ~O <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION AND <br />ROUTE OF THE WEST EUGENE PARKWAY; AUTHQRIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREE~[ENTS THEREFOR; AND DECLAR- <br />ING AN E1~IERGENCY . <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES QRDAIN AS FOLLOW; <br />Section 1. The State of Oregon has committed funds to and <br />proposes to construct the West Eugene Parkway. The proposed <br />street is a throughway as defined under ORS 3 7 4 , 01 ~ , The C i ty <br />Council preferred route for the throughway is generally depicted <br />on Exhibit A attached hereto, It will begin at the present loca- <br />tion of 6th and 7th Avenues at Garfield Street and go northwest <br />along the present route of 6th and 7th Avenues to a point near the <br />intersection of those streets with 5th Avenue. Thereafter, the <br />route will be westerly and then southwesterly intersecting 5th <br />Avenue and then proceeding westerly to Seneca Road. The route <br />then runs northwesterly and westerly going aver Wallis S treet, <br />intersecting Bertelsen Road south of 1st Avenue, Beltline Road, <br />and Danebo Avenue near Pacific Avenue to a point near the Southern <br />Pacific Coos Bay Branch railroad tracks. Thereafter, the route <br />proceeds southwesterly and westerly near the railroad tracks <br />intersecting Green Hill Road, and then proceeds to the present <br />route of 11th Avenue State Highway 126 near Oak Hill Road. <br />Thereafter the route proceeds along the present route of State <br />Highway 126 for a distance of approximately one-half mile, Pre- <br />liminary plans, specifications and statements of impact for this <br />project are available to the public at City Hall, <br />Section,,,., 2.
