oRniN~cg No . ! ~ 3 9 ~O AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION AND ROUTE OF THE WEST EUGENE PARKWAY; AUTHQRIZING EXECUTION OF AGREE~[ENTS THEREFOR; AND DECLAR- ING AN E1~IERGENCY . THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES QRDAIN AS FOLLOW; Section 1. The State of Oregon has committed funds to and proposes to construct the West Eugene Parkway. The proposed street is a throughway as defined under ORS 3 7 4 , 01 ~ , The C i ty Council preferred route for the throughway is generally depicted on Exhibit A attached hereto, It will begin at the present loca- tion of 6th and 7th Avenues at Garfield Street and go northwest along the present route of 6th and 7th Avenues to a point near the intersection of those streets with 5th Avenue. Thereafter, the route will be westerly and then southwesterly intersecting 5th Avenue and then proceeding westerly to Seneca Road. The route then runs northwesterly and westerly going aver Wallis S treet, intersecting Bertelsen Road south of 1st Avenue, Beltline Road, and Danebo Avenue near Pacific Avenue to a point near the Southern Pacific Coos Bay Branch railroad tracks. Thereafter, the route proceeds southwesterly and westerly near the railroad tracks intersecting Green Hill Road, and then proceeds to the present route of 11th Avenue State Highway 126 near Oak Hill Road. Thereafter the route proceeds along the present route of State Highway 126 for a distance of approximately one-half mile, Pre- liminary plans, specifications and statements of impact for this project are available to the public at City Hall, Section,,,., 2.
