ENTRANCE BEAUTIFICATION STUDY -- EXHIBIT C <br />The following revisions to the Draft Entrance Beautification Study were <br />adapted by the City Council on actaber ~5, ~g85, supplementing the List of <br />Recommended Changes recommended by the Planning Commission, additions in <br />bold and deletions [bracketed } . <br />~. Revise language in Policy #~, on page 3 of the draft study, to read: <br />1. ~Desi grate "preferred entrance corridors" Identify the most direct <br />and attractive routes i nto the city, encourage thei r use, and <br />maintain and improve the character and quality of the entrance <br />experience along these routes. <br />Three preferred] routes have been identified as entrance corridars <br />into the city from the airport, from the interstate system, and from <br />the coastal areas and other communities to the west. Revise the map an page 6 to show all entrance corridars into the city and <br />to show the most direct and attractive routes from the airport in a <br />different color or pattern. Routes A, B-1, B-2 and C will be called out <br />simply as [Preferred Routes To The City Center, followed by the revised <br />descriptions recommended by the Planning Commission Revision E, top of <br />page 3 of the Recommended Changes. <br />3. Rewi se reference to "Preferred Entrance corridars" on page 5 of the draft <br />study, incorporating the distinction between routes B-~ and B-2 already <br />recommended by the Planning commission ~Revisian D on the Recommended <br />Changes} with addi ti anal revisions as fol 1 ows: <br />~"Preferred" ] Entrance [Corti dars Routes <br />The map of Entrance Points and Corridors includes three [preferred <br />routes... These routes provide a focal point for signing that directs <br />visitors along the most direct and attractive routes into the city and for <br />entrance beautification projects that serve a substantial share of the <br />city's visitors. <br />4. Eliminate all other references to "preferred" entrance corridars. <br />5. Revise Policy 7, page 3 of the draft study to eliminate requirements for <br />site review for development along entrance corridors and make reference <br />to the implementation of a future code amendment as follows: <br />
