ORDINANCE NO. /~`/_.S~ <br />AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING THAT JURISDICTION OVER <br />PORTIONS OF GILHAM ROAD AND WILLAREN2IE ROAD <br />BE TRANSFERRED TO THE CITY OF EUGENE; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />The City Council deems it necessary and expedient and in the <br />best interests of the City to acquire jurisdiction over the <br />following county roads: <br />a. Gilliam Road from Crescent Avenue to Honeywoad <br />Avenue; <br />b, willakenz ie Road fr. om Coburg Road east 1, 700 <br />feet; <br />all of which lie within the corporate limits of the City, to the <br />same extent as .it has over public streets and alleys of the City. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon has <br />authority under the provisions of ORS 373.270 to release juris <br />diction over county roads within the limits of the City of Eugene, <br />and should be requested to do so. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are into r- <br />porated herein by reference, the City Council of the City of <br />Eugene finds it necessary and expedient and in the best interests <br />of the City to acquire jurisdiction over the following County <br />Roads <br />a. Gilliam Raad from Crescent Avenue to Honeywaod <br />Avenue; <br />b.
