of the City . <br />Section 2. The City Council directs that a copy of this <br />Ordinance be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Lane County, Oregon, which Board is requested to release juris-- <br />diction of the above described County Roads to the City of Eugene <br />in accordance with the provisions of ORS 373.270. <br />Section 3. Upon receipt by the City Manager., within ninety <br />days fr. om the date hereof , of a certified copy of an order of the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, Oregon releasing <br />j ur ~. sd i c t ion of the above described port ions of Gilham Road and <br />Willakenzie Road to the City of Eugene, the City shall have the <br />same control, power and jurisdiction aver the streets as it has <br />over all other. streets and alleys within the City of Eugene, <br />Section 4, In the event the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Lane County fails to enter the order referred to in Section 3 <br />above within ninety days from the date this Ordinance is adopted <br />by the Council and approved by the Mayor, the request and authori- <br />zation contained herein shall terminate as though this Ordinance <br />had not been adopted. <br />Section 5. That the matters contained herein affect the <br />public welfare and safety and therefore, an emergency is hereby <br />declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage by the City Council and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />Passed by the City Council this Approved by the Mayor this <br />„~ aY of ~, 198T day of 1987 <br />C ty Recor r M <br />Ordinance - 2 <br />
