ORDINANCE No, <br />AN ORDINANCE REQUESTING THAT JURISDICTION OVER <br />PORTIONS OF COUNTY ROADS BE TRANSFERRED TD THE <br />CITY OF EUGENE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />The City Council deems it necessary and expedient and in the <br />best interests of the City to acquire jurisdiction over the count <br />Y <br />roads more particularly described on Exhibit A attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference, all of which lie within the <br />corporate limits of the City, to the same extent as it has over <br />public streets and alleys of the City. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Lane County, ore on .has <br />g <br />authority under the provisions of ORS 373.274 to release juris- <br />diction over county roads within the limits of the City of Eu ene <br />g <br />and should be requested to dv so. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incor- <br />porated herein by reference, the City Council of the City of <br />Eugene finds it necessary and expedient and in the best interests <br />of the City to acquire jurisdiction over the County Roads more <br />particularly described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incor or- <br />p <br />ated herein by reference, to the same extent as it has ever other <br />public streets and alleys of the City. <br />Section ~. The City Council directs that a copy of this <br />ordinance be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Lane County, Oregon, which Board is requested to release juris- <br />diction of the above described County Roads to the City of Eugene <br />in accordance with the provisions of ORS 373.274. <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
