X34} Sections 82.101 through 8~.~10 of the Uniform Fire Code are <br />deleted. The fallowing sections are added in their place: <br />Section 82.101 - Li uefied Petroleum Gas, Sco e. This article <br />shall apply to all storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gas and the <br />~nstallat~on of equipment in systems for such uses. <br />Section 82.102 - Li uefied Petroleum Gas, Standards. NFPA <br />Pamphlets Nos. 58 and.59 and UFC Standards Nos. 82-1 and 82-2 shall govern <br />the design, installation and construction of containers and equipment for the <br />storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gases, including utility gas <br />plants. In case of a conflict the NFPA Pamphlets shall control. <br />Section 82.103 - Li uefied Petroleum Gas, Definitions. <br />~a} The term "liquefied petroleum gas" means any material <br />that ~s composed predominantly of any of the following hydrocarbons <br />or mixtures of them: Propane, prophl ene, butane whether normal <br />butane ar i so-butane} , and butyl ene. <br />fib} The.term "liquefied petroleum gas equipment" means all <br />containers, p~p~ng,exclusive of utility distribution piping systems, <br />and equipment pertinent to the storage and handling of liquefied <br />petroleum gas, but no gas-consuming appliances. <br />Section 82.104 - Li uefied Petroleum Gas, Permits, Re arts. The <br />fire marshal shall be notified prior to the tenth of each month by the in- <br />staller of all new installations made during the preceding month of containers <br />or receptacles for 1 i quef i ed petol eum gas, including instal 1 ati ons for pri - <br />vate homes and apartments. The installer shall certify on a form provided <br />by the fire marshal that ail such new installations are duly and ro erl <br />. p p Y <br />reported. The fire marshal may require that the not~f~cation include the <br />location and description of the installation and the name of the user. All <br />fees due and payable as provided in this section shall accompany the notifi- <br />cation. The replacement of empty containers or receptacles with other con- <br />ta~ners constructed ~n accordance with Interstate Commerce Commissions e- <br />cifications shall n p <br />of be considered such new installation as to require <br />notification to the fire marshal ar necessitate further inspection of the <br />instal 1 ati on. The fire marshal shal 1 cal 1 ect from the instal 1 er an i nstal- <br />1 ati on fee as established by resolution of the council . <br />Section 82.105 - Li uefied Petrol eum Gas Ins ecti vn. After the <br />initial installation, liquid petroleum gas containers may be ins ected once <br />ever 10 e r ~ ~ p <br />y y a , s, except when changes have been made ~ n the ors gi nal ~ nstal l a- <br />t~on. The fire marshal shall be notified of such changes in the same manner <br />provided in this section for new installations. The fire marshal shall <br />collect from the owner a fee to be established by resolution of the council <br />far the inspection of each container. The manner of inspection, re uirement <br />of corrections ~ q <br />sat~sfact~on of such requirements, and collection of fees <br />due and payable shall be in conformity with the provisions of new installa- <br />t~ons. Liquefied petroleum gas installation licensees shall furnish a list <br />of the location of 10-year-old installations which they service, u on re- <br />p <br />quest of the fire marshal. <br />Section 82.106 - Li uefied Petroleum Gas Corrections. <br />~ a} when, upon inspection of any tank, the new installation <br />does not comply with the requirements of the fire marshal, the <br />fire marshal shall instruct the installer as to what corrections <br />are necessary far compliance with the requirements. The installer <br />of the new ~nstallat~on shall within the time set by the fire <br />marshal, which in no case shall be more than 60 days after notifi- <br />Ordinance - 14 <br />
