ORDINANCE NO, 19525 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE AIRPaRT COMMI5SI0N; AMENDING <br />SECTIONS 2.013 AND 2.050 OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1971; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The designation of the Airport Commmission set forth in Sec- <br />tion 2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended to provide: <br />2.013 Cit Council - Boards, Commissions and Committees. <br />Airport Commission <br />No, of Members: <br />Appointment Process: <br />Term: <br />Authority: <br />9 <br />7 members nominated by the Mayor, <br />appointed by the Council <br />2 members recommended by the Lane County <br />Beard of County Commissioners, nomi- <br />nated by Mayor, and appointed by the <br />Council. <br />4 years* <br />EC 2.050 <br />*The initial term for one of the twa members recommended by the Board <br />of Caunty Commissioners shall be for three years. <br />Section 2. Section Section 2.050 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is amended <br />to provide: <br />2.050 Air ort Commission - Created; Terms. <br />~1} There is hereby created an Airport Commission, hereinafter <br />referred to as "'commission," which shall consist of nine members nominated <br />by the mayor and appointed by the council. Twa of the members shall be <br />selected from recommendations made by the Lane County Board of County Com- <br />missioners. The twa members recommended by the Board of County Commissioners <br />shall be residents of Lane County, and may reside inside or outside the city <br />limits, The requirements of section 2.013~5~ of this code that members be <br />residents of the city at the time of their appointment and during their term <br />of office ~s specifically waived for the two members of the commission recom- <br />mended by the Board of County Commissioners. The chairman of the Aviation <br />Committee of the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce shall be an ex officio and <br />non-voting member of the Airport Commission. His or her term shall coincide <br />with his or her term as chairman of the Aviation Committee. Other ex officio <br />members may be appointed by the mayor; however, they shall act in an advisory <br />capacity and may not vote. <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
