Higher signs are allowed in this district than in mast <br />others to make it easier for persons driving cars in this district to find <br />the businesses they seek. The following signs sha11 be permitted on proper- <br />t~es located w~th~n areas designated as "Highway Oriented District" on the <br />Sign District Map: <br />~a} A11 signs shall be located to comply with all yard and <br />special setback requirements of the zoning ordinance. <br />fib} ,Each separate business occupancy may have one primary <br />sign, This sign may be located within the first 15 feet of a <br />street property line, and shall be not more than 30 feet in total <br />height above grade. Such sign shall not exceed 10o square feet of <br />surface area for any one face, or 200 square feet of surface area <br />for two or more faces. Such sign shall be separate and not part <br />of any other signs allowed an the property. Up to five square <br />feet of the area of the primary sign may be a reader board sign. <br />Each tract may have one secondary sign not exceeding 32 square <br />feet of surface area. <br />~c} The total surface area of all Other signs, including <br />billboards on the property, shall not exceed three square feet for <br />each lineal foot of highway frontage.
