Venting devices shall discharge directly to the open <br />air or to an unoccupied space not less than 50 feet in width <br />on the same lot. <br />1. Relieving devices shall be sa located that the dis- <br />charge end shall be not less than 10 feet vertically and 20 <br />feet horizontally from window openings or exits in the same <br />or adjoining buildings or structures. <br />8. Discharge shall be in the direction of least expo- <br />sure and not into the interior of the building. <br />fir} Electrical Wiring and .Equipment. Electrical wiring and <br />equipment shall be installed in accordance with the Electrical <br />Code. <br />~s} Standby Power. When mechanical ventilation, treatment <br />systems, temperature control, alarm, detection or other electri- <br />cally operated systems are required, such systems shall be con- <br />nected to a secondary source of power to automatically supply <br />electrical power in the event of loss of power from the primary <br />source. See the Electrical Code. <br />fit} Limit Controls. Tem erature Control. Materials which must be stored <br />at temperatures other than normal ambient temperatures to <br />prevent a hazardous reaction shall be stored in an area pro- <br />vided with a means to maintain the temperature within a safe <br />range . Redundant temperature control equipment which wi 11 <br />operate upon failure of the primary temperature control <br />system shall be provided. Alternate means to prevent a <br />hazardous reaction may be provided. <br />3. Pressure. Stationary tanks used for the storage of <br />hazardous material liquids which may generate pressures ex- <br />ceeding the tank design limits due to exposure fires or <br />internal reaction shall have some farm of construction or <br />device that will relieve excessive internal pressure. Such <br />relief devices shall vent to an approved iocativn or to an <br />exhaust scrubber or treatment system when specified in Sec- <br />tions 80.302 through 80.315. <br />~u} Manual Alarm. A local fire alarm manual pull station ar <br />approved emergency signal device shall be installed outside of <br />each interior exit door of storage buildings, rooms or areas. <br />Activation of the manual alarm shall sound a local alarm. <br />~v} Superv_son. When manual alarm, emergency signal, de- <br />--- <br />tection or automatic fire extinguishing systems are required in <br />Sections 80.302 through 80.315, such systems shall be supervised <br />Ordinance - 31 <br />
