6, Stara a Conditions. <br />A. Flammable solids stared in quantities greater <br />than 1,000 cubic feet shall be separated into piles not <br />larger than 1,000 cubic feet. Aisle widths between piles <br />shall be equal to not less than the height of the piles <br />or four feet, whichever is greater. <br />B. Storage of flammable solids shall not be permit- <br />ted in basements. <br />fib} Exterior Stora e. <br />1. General. Exterior storage of flammable solids shall <br />be in accordance with the provisions of this subsection and <br />the general previsions specified in Section 80.301. Storage <br />of combustible fibers shall be in acordance with the provi- <br />sions of Article 28. <br />2. Distance from Stora a to Ex osures. Exterior storage <br />of flammable solids shall net be permitted within 20 feet of <br />any building, property line, street, alley, public way, or <br />exit to a public way. An unpierced two-hour fire-resistive <br />wall extending not less than 30 inches above and to the sides <br />of the storage area may be provided in lieu of such distance. <br />3. Sill Control, Draina a and Containment. Spill con- <br />trol, drainage and containment shall not be required for ex- <br />terior storage of flammable solids, <br />4. Stora a Conditions. Exterior storage of flammable <br />solids shall be separated into piles each not larger than <br />5,004 cubic feet each. Aisle widths between piles shall be <br />not less than one-half the height of the piles or ten feet, <br />whichever is greater. <br />Section 80.306 - Hazardous Materials, Li uid and Solid Oxidizers. <br />~a} Indoor Stora e. <br />1. General. Indoor storage of liquid and solid oxi- <br />dizers shall be in accordance with this subsection and the <br />general provisions specified in Section 80.301. <br />2. Exer~pt Amounts. when the amount of liquid and solid <br />oxidizers stored in vne control area exceeds that specified <br />in Table 80,306-A, such storage shall be within a room or <br />building conforming to the Structural Specialty Cade requirew <br />ments for the following occupancies: <br />Oxidizer Class <br />Class 4 <br />Class 3 <br />Class 1 <br />Storage <br />and 2 <br />Occupancy..,Group <br />H1 <br />H-2 <br />H-3 <br />in excess of the exempt amounts specified in <br />Table 80,306-A shall comply with items numbered 3. through <br />14. Storage not exceeding the exempt amounts specified in <br />Table 80,306-A shall comply with items numbered 12 and 13. <br />Ordinance - 39 <br />
