of the Building Code, storage of highly toxic solids and <br />liquids shall be in buildings or roams of non-combustible con- <br />struction or stored in hazardous material storage cabinets. <br />4. Li uid-Ti ht Floor. In addition to the pravisions of <br />Section 80.301~z}, floors of storage areas shall be of liquid- <br />tight construction. <br />5. Ex losion ventin or 5u ressian. Explosion venting <br />or suppression shall not be required far the indoor storage of <br />highly toxic solids or 1 iquids. <br />6. Containment. Secondary containment shall be provided <br />in accordance with the provisians of Section 80.3011}4. <br />7. Exhaust Scrubber. Exhaust scrubbers or other systems <br />for the processing of highly toxic liquid vapors shall be pro- <br />vided for storage areas where a spill or other accidental re- <br />lease of such liquids can be expected to release highly toxic <br />vapors. Exhaust scrubbers and ather processing systems shall <br />be installed in accordance with the Mechanical Code. Emission <br />control shall conform to the requirements of the Lane Regional <br />Air Pallutivn Authority. Exhaust vents or stacks shall be lo- <br />cated in such a manner as to prevent the re-entry of hazardous <br />vapors into the building, or their entry into any adjacent <br />building. <br />8. Separation. In addition to the provisions of Section <br />80.301~n}, storage of highly toxic liquids and solids shall be <br />isolated from other hazardous materials by one-hour fire- <br />resistive construction or stared in approved hazardous mater- <br />i al s storage cabinets . <br />fib} Exterior Stora e. <br />1. General. Exterior storage of highly toxic solids and <br />liquids shall be in accordance with the provisions Of this sub- <br />section and the general provisians specified in Section 80.301. <br />2. Distance from Stora e t0 Ex vsures. Exterior storage <br />of highly toxic solids and liquids sha11 not be permitted <br />w~th~n 20 feet of any building, property line, street, alley, <br />public way or exit to a public way. An unpierced two-hour <br />fire-res~st~ve wall extending not less than 30" above and to <br />the sides of the storage area may be provided in lieu of such <br />distance. <br />3. Fire Extin uishin S stems. Exterior storage of <br />highly toxic solids and liquids shall be in fire-resistive <br />containers and shall comply with one of the following: <br />A. The storage area shall be protected by an auto- <br />matic, open head, deluge fire sprinkler system of the <br />type and density specified in UBC Standard 38-1; or <br />B. Storage shall be located under a canopy of non- <br />combustible construction, with the canopied area pro- <br />tected by an automatic fire sprinkler system of the type <br />and density specified in UBC Standard 38-1. Such storage <br />shall not be considered indoor storage. <br />4. Containment. Secondary containment shall be provided <br />in accordance with the provisians of Section 50.3011}4. <br />5.
