fin} Si na e. In addition to the hazard identification signs <br />required by Section 80.104~e}, additional hazard identification and <br />warning signs shall be provided as follows: <br />1. Signs prohibiting smoking shall be provided in dis- <br />pensing and open use areas and within 25 feet of outdoor dis- <br />pensing or open use areas. <br />2. Stationary containers and tanks shall be placarded <br />with hazard identification signs as specified in UFC Standard <br />19-3 for the specific material contained. <br />3. Signs shall not be placed on moveable objects ar ob- <br />scured at any time. <br />4. Signs shall be durable, clearly visible and in <br />English as a primary language. <br />5. Signs shall be of a size, color and lettered in con- <br />formance with nationally recognized standards. <br />~o} Securit . Dispensing, use and handling areas shall be <br />secured against unauthorized entry. <br />gyp} Seismic Protection. Machinery and equipment utilizing <br />hazardous materials shall be seismically anchored in accordance <br />with the provisions of the Building Cade. <br />~q} Li htin . Adequate lighting by natural or artifical <br />means shall be provided. Artificial lighting shall be in accord- <br />ance with the recommendations of the Illuminating Engineering <br />Society DIES} Handbook or other nationally recognized standards. <br />fir} Fire Extin uishin S stem. Indoor rooms or areas in <br />which hazardous materials are dispensed or used shall be protected <br />by an automatic fire extinguishing system. Sprinkler system design <br />shall be not less than that required under UBC Standard 38-1 far <br />Ordinary Hazard, Group 3 with a minimum design area of 3,000 square <br />feet.
