ORDINANCE N0, 19594 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING LICENSING PROVISIONS FOR <br />FIRE SAFETY AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS PERMITS; <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 3.a05, 3.175, 3.171,~AND 3.180 <br />OF THE EUGENE CODE, 1911; ADDING NEW SECTIONS <br />3.151, 3.190, 3.192, 3.194, 3.196, AND 3.198 TO <br />THAT CODE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 3.005 of the Eugene Code, 1911, is amended by add- <br />ing the following under the definitions for Licensed Businesses, immediatel <br />y <br />following those set forth far Drug Paraphernalia Sales and recedin those far <br />p g <br />Gas Fitter, to provide: <br />3.005 Definitions. Far the purposes of this chapter, the followin words <br />9 <br />and phrases shall mean: <br />Fire Safet and Hazardous Materials. <br />Ap 1~i~cant. A person who applies for a permit but who has not <br />yet received that permit. <br />Checklist review. Review of the amount and classification of <br />hazardous materials located at each facility for which an a licant <br />PP <br />has applied for a permit. <br />Facilit . All buildings, equipment, structures and other <br />stationary items which are 1 ocated on a s i ngl a site or an cont i u - <br />g <br />ous or adjacent sites and which are owned or operated by the same <br />person, company and/or corporation. For the purposes of this <br />chapter, any motor vehicle and/or rolling stack located on the <br />site of a facility will be considered as part of the facility. <br />Person. An individual, partnership, association, corporation, <br />trust, firm, estate, organization or other ]ego] entity, <br />Section 2. Sections 3,175, 3.117, and 3.15o of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br />are amended, and anew Section 3.181 added thereto, to provide: <br />3.175 Fire 5afet -License Re wired. No person shall use a buildin or <br />9 <br />premises ar engage in any activity for which a permit is required <br />by sections 4,101 to 4.102 of the Uniform Fire Code as ado ted and amended b <br />sections 8.19 ~ ~ ~ ~ p ~ y <br />o and S.ZoO of this code without first obtaining a license <br />therefor. When mare than one fire safety permit is required for the same <br />facility, such fire safety permits may be consolidated into a sin le license. <br />g <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
