19083 <br />~a~ furnish to the human rights presidents <br />council, upon request and on such form as may be <br />provided by the human rights presidents council, <br />a written report of the affirmative action taken <br />by the contractor in implementing the plan des- <br />cr ibed in paragraph ~.1 ~ ~b ~ within 3 Q days from the <br />date such request is made; and <br />fib). Permit the human rights presidents council <br />to inspect and to copy records of employment., em- <br />ployment advertisements, application forms, and <br />other pertinent data and records of the contractor, <br />far the purpose of investigation to determine com- <br />pliance with paragraph ~l} . <br />" ~.3} If upon investigation the human rights presi- <br />dents council finds reasonable cause to believe that the <br />contractor or any subcontractors of the contractor have <br />failed to comply with any of the items of paragraphs <br />~ 1 ~ or ~2 ~ , the contractor and the city manager shall <br />be so notified in writing. The city manager shall give <br />the contractor an opportunity to be heard, after 14 days <br />written notice. If the city manager concurs in the <br />findings of the human rights presidents council he or <br />she may suspend, cancel, or terminate :the principal con- <br />tract in whole or in part and/or withhold any funds due <br />or to become due to the contractor, pending compliance <br />by the contractor andfvr its subcontractors, with the <br />terms of paragraphs ~l } and ~ 2 ~ . <br />~3~ The human rights presidents council will initiate <br />an investigation to determine compliance with the provisions of <br />this section upon the request of a human rights commission, and <br />will make. the results of its investigation available to the <br />commission. <br />Section ~. That the matters contained herein concern the public <br />welfare and therefore, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and <br />this Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage by <br />the City Council and approval by the Mayor. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br />13th day of December, 182 <br />~~ ~~~y <br />City R corder <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />13th day of December, 1982 <br />May <br />Ordinance - 4. <br />
