ORDINANCE NO. ~qoa l~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING SEWER USER CHARGES; <br />AMENDING SECTIONS 7.020 AN`D 7.023 aF THE EUGENE <br />CODE, 1971; ADDING A NEW SECTION 7.045 TU THAT <br />CODE; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES QRDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 7.020 of the Eugene Coder 1971 is hereby <br />amended to read and provide: <br />7.420 Charges -- Established and Levied. <br />~1} There is hereby levied and imposed on all sewer <br />users just and equitable monthly rates and charges for sewer <br />service as provided in this chapter. <br />~2} Residential sewer users monthly charges for city <br />and regional sewer service shall be: <br />City Regional Total <br />Single dwelling unit --- $4.24 $6.30 $10.50 <br />Duplex dwelling unit -- 4.2Q 6.30 10.50 <br />Multiple dwelling <br />unit beach -----~--~----~ 4. zQ 6.34 10.50 <br />~2} All other sewer users monthly rates and charges <br />for city and regional sewer ser~rice shall be: <br />City Regional Total <br />~a} A mini- <br />mum charge of ----~- $ 4.20 $6.30 $10.50 <br />or <br />fib} A rate <br />per thousand gallons <br />of water consumed-~ 0.726 1.089 1.815 <br />~4} All sewer users that discharge wastewater with an <br />average of B.Q.D. and suspended solids exceeding 400 milligrams <br />per litre shall pay the monthly city and regional rates and <br />charges established in subsections ~2} or ~3} of this section <br />or the s,um of the following, whichever is greater: <br />V [[B($0.1455)+S (.$0.0873)] (8.345x10-6)+$0.001815) <br />where V equals the volume in gallons of wastewater discharged <br />by the user into the sanitary sewerage system during <br />the month; <br />B equals the average B.O.D. in excess of 200 milligrams <br />per litre of the discharged wastewater; and <br />Qrdinance - 1 <br />
