ORDINANCE NO. 1q <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERN2NG $ED AND BREAKFAST <br />FACILITIES; AMENDING SECTIONS 9,254, 9.312, <br />9.326, 9.338, 9.340, 9.352, 9.366, 9.384, 9.394, <br />9,410, 9.422, 9,436, AND 9,5$6 OF THE EUGENE <br />CODE, 1971; AND DECLARYNG AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY 4F EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FoLLQWS: <br />Section 1. Section 9.254 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by adding a new definition for Bed and Breakfast Facility <br />in alphabetical order therein, and amending the definition of <br />Boarding andjor Rooming Houser to read and provide: <br />9.254 <br />Bed and breakfast facil,it A dwelling where <br />travelers are lodged for sleeping purposes, with a <br />morning meal provided, and far which compensation is <br />paid and received. <br />Boarding andjor rooming house. A building where <br />lodging, with or without mealsr is provided for com- <br />pensation, but shall not include bed and breakfast <br />facilities, nursing homes or group care homes. <br />Section 2, Section 9.31,2 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by adding a new subparagraph fib} thereto and relettering <br />the present subparagraphs (b) through (1) to (c) through (m) , to <br />read and provide: <br />9.312 <br />fib} Bed and breakfast facilities, subaect to <br />the following development standards: <br />1~. The facility shall maintain an. up~-to- <br />date guest register; <br />~2, The facility shall be owner-occupied; <br />3. The length of stay for guests shall be <br />a maximum of l5 consecutive nights; <br />4. The number of guest bedrooms shall be <br />limited to two, with a maximum total of five <br />guests at any one. time; <br />Ordinance ~- 1 <br />
