Sections 9.150, 9.152, 9.154, 9.156, 9.158, 9.160, 9.162, <br />9.164, 9.66, 9.168 and 9.170 are hereby added to the Eugene Cade, 1971, <br />to read and provide: <br />ANNEXATION PROCEQURES <br />9.154 Pur ose. It is necessary to ensure that through timely annexations <br />. there is an adequate supply of developable land provided with muni- <br />c~pal fac~l~t~es and services. Annexations shall be accomplished in accord- <br />ance with the following procedures. <br />9.152 Initiation, An annexation may be initiated as provided in Chapter <br />199 of Oregon Revised Statutes relating to local government bound- <br />ary commissions. <br />9.154 A lication, Fee, and Public Hearin Notice. <br />~1~ A party desiring to annex property to the city shall submit <br />an application for annexation and related information in the manner pre- <br />scribed by the planning department. <br />~2~ The application shall be accompanied by a fee as set by the <br />council . <br />~3~ At least ten days before the hearing, the planning department <br />shall mail a notice thereof to the applicant, all owners and accupants of <br />property included in the application, abutting property owners and accupants <br />and owners and occupants of properties adjacent to abutting properties. <br />For this notice, properties abutting the area of the annexation proposal in- <br />clude those separated from it by intervening streets or alleys. At least <br />ten days prior to the hearing, the planning department shall also post <br />notices of the hearing in at least three places within 304 feet of the annex- <br />ation proposal. <br />9.156 Investi ation and Re ort, The planning department shall investi ate <br />g <br />. the facts.bearing.upon an application, prepare a report, and sub- <br />m~t it to the planning commission for consideration, prior to, or at the <br />public hearing. A copy of the report shall be mailed or delivered to the <br />applicant at the time it is delivered to the commission. <br />ordinance -18- <br />
