ORDINANCE NO. 1~~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING '~EATHERIZATION STANDARDS <br />FOR RESIDENTIAE HOMES; AMENDING QRDINANCE NO, <br />15757; CREATING NEG~ REVYE'~ AND EFFECTIVE DATES; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />1. On February 9, 1981 the City Council enacted Eu ene Ordi- <br />g <br />nance No. 18757 which established mandatory weatherization standards <br />for residential structures; <br />2, Section 3 of Eugene Ordinance No. 18757 required Cit <br />Y <br />Council review of the provisions of that Ordinance by Januar 11 <br />Y , <br />1984; <br />3. On the basis of that review, it appears that the substan- <br />tive provisions of that ordinance should not be effectuated on Janu- <br />ary 1~, 19 8 5 . <br />On the basis of these findings and the staff report, Ordinance <br />No. 18757 should be amended, and <br />.THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 18757 is hereb amended <br />y <br />by substituting the language "the f~.rst Council meeting in Januar <br />Yr <br />1988 for the language "January 11, 1984" in the first sentence <br />thereof. <br />Section 2. Section 4 of Ordinance No. 1575? is hereb amended <br />Y <br />to read and provide: <br />Section 4. That subsection ~e~ of Sectian 8,305 of ' <br />the Eugene Coder 1971 as herein provided shall become effec- <br />tive January 1, 1989. <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
