<br />#58-93-15 <br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER <br />OF THE <br />PUBLIC WORKS EXECUTIVE MANAGER <br /> <br />Under Administrative Order of the City Manager, the Public Works Executive <br />Manager has the delegated authority to execute contracts on behalf of the <br />City of Eugene in the amount of $50,000 or less. This authority includes the <br />execution of contract change orders which are within budget contingency for <br />that contract or project, and are within change order guidelines of Public <br />Contract Administrative Rules. <br /> <br />Based on the above, the Public Works Executive Manager orders that: <br /> <br />1. Public Works Division Managers shall be responsible to the Public Works <br />Executive Manager for: the initiation, content, award, obtaining of <br />signatures, budgetary encumbrance, consistency with local budget law, <br />filing with the City Recorder, administration, and compliance with ap- <br />plicable federal, state and local statutes and policies for contracts <br />which carry out the programs of their divisions. <br /> <br />2. All Public Works contracts shall be submitted to the Public Works Execu- <br />tive Manager for execution. Contracts for amounts over $50,000 shall be <br />initialed by the Public Works Executive Manager and signed by the City <br />Manager. <br /> <br />3. Any contract submitted to the Public Works Executive Manager for execu- <br />tion shall have the initials of the Division Manager who recommends <br />execution of the contract. <br /> <br />4. The City Engineer and Airport Manager shall have the authority to exe- <br />cute change orders for construction contracts which are within budget <br />contingency for that contract or project, and are within change order <br />guidelines of the Public Contract Administrative Rules. Any change <br />order shall be consistent with applicable provisions of the original <br />contract.
