<br />#58-93-15 <br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER <br />OF THE <br />EXECUTIVE MANAGER OF THE <br /> <br />City of Eugene, Oregon <br /> <br />Under section 16(2) of the Eugene Charter, the City Manager is given authori- <br />ty to make purchases and act as the business agent for the City Council in <br />connection with the sale of real estate and other business and commercial <br />transactions. The City Manager desires to partially delegate this authority <br />to the Executive Managers of the various city departments or their designees. <br /> <br />It is the intention of the City to: <br /> <br />A. provide for uniform and consistent processing of contracts. <br /> <br />B. Minimize the time and attention required of the City Manager for <br />routine contracts. <br /> <br />C. Clearly define areas of responsibility with regard to initiation, <br />execution and administration of contracts. <br /> <br />Based on the above, the City Manager orders that: <br /> <br />1. The City Manager delegates to the Executive Manager and such other <br />departmental personnel as the Executive Manager shall designate the <br />authority to execute contracts less than the following amount: <br /> <br />Dollar Amount <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />$50,000 <br /> <br />2. Sub-delegation of contract signing authority shall be by adminis- <br />trative order of the Executive Manager and shall be filed with the <br />City Recorder and Purchasing. <br /> <br />2.
