There is hereby added to the Eugene Code, 1971, a new sec- <br />tion, to be numbered and provide: <br />4.906 lnterferrin With a Police officer. 1t shall be unlawful for any <br />person, intentionally or with reckless disregard thereof, to irate r <br />fete with a poi i ce officer i n the officer's 1 awful performance of his or her <br />duties. Ta interfere with as used in this section shall mean any physical <br />act, including a refusal to leave a particular area in response to a lawful <br />order from a police officer, that prevents or could reasonably be expected <br />to prevent a police officer from performing his or her duties. <br />Section 4. Subsection (3} of Section 4.994 of the Eugene Code, 1911, <br />is hereby amended to read and provide: <br />4.990 Penalties ~- S ecific. <br />~3} ~liolation of sections 4.045 to 4.085, 4.33x, 4.425, 4.774, <br />4.195, 4.835 to 4.850, 4.860, 4.895, 4.925, 4.965 to 4.975, and 4.981 to <br />4.983 is punishable by fine not to exceed $500. <br />Section 5.
