ORDINANCE NO. ___19270 <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE JULY 1, 1984 <br />T4 JUNE ~~, 1985 AD VALOREM PROFERTY TAB <br />LEVY FOR THE CITY OF EUGENE; AMENDING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 19261; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br />On ,Tune 27, 1984 Ordinance No. 19261 was passed by the <br />Counci 1 and approved by the Mayor adopting the budget, making <br />appropriations, and determining and levying the annual. ad valorem <br />real property taxes for the City far the fiscal year July 1, <br />1984 to June 3~, 1985. <br />Section 3 of that Ordinance provided that a total levy <br />of $26,156,36 be made against all taxable property within the <br />City of Eugene in general. <br />The Ffinance officer has advised that ffinal verification <br />in the assessed valuation of newly annexed territories resulted <br />in the levy being understated by $85,462. <br />Ordinance No. 19261 should be amended to reflect the correct <br />total levy of $26,244,49H. This correction does not alter the <br />appropriations set forth in Ordinance No. 19261, nor the budgeted <br />collection rate. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Based upon the above findings, which are incorpor- <br />ated herea.n, Section 3 of Ordinance No. 19261 is hereby amended <br />to read and provide: <br />Section 3. That a total levy of $26, 244, 498 <br />be made against all taxable property within the City <br />of Eugene in general, for the purpose of deriving <br />funds necessary to carry an the different programs <br />and to meet the expenses of the city government of <br />the City of Eugene for the fiscal year beginning July <br />1, 1984, and ending June 3~, 1985, and to create and <br />provide sinking funds and interest funds for the vari- <br />ous outstanding bonds and obligations of the City. <br />Section 2. Except as herein amended, all other terms and <br />provisions of Ordinance No. 19261 remain in full force and effect. <br />1~- Ordinance <br />
