Public testimony was as follows: <br />A. HARQLD BERG <br />Mr. Berg spoke as a representative of property owners <br />who appose the project. He said that a survey was made within <br />the Harlow Neighbors area which determined that the greater <br />number of streets have no sidewalks . He said that if safety i s <br />the ley factor, a greater study of the schools in the area, <br />N~onroe and Washington, is needed. He said he had not heard <br />complaints about safety, He read a letter from another property <br />owner, Robert l~ccaffrey who also stated the fact that less than <br />~.. ~..,~ <br />half the streets in the area have sidewalks. <br />B, J0 ANNE ARNOLD <br />She stated that there is a safety problem on Sorrel way, <br />but it is more than a lack of sidewalks. She stated a concern <br />about the narrow streets which may require widening and new curbs <br />in the future, She later asked a qustivn whether it was possible <br />to consider restricting parking to one side of the street and <br />installing sidewalks on the other.
