THE WORST POSSIBLE OUTCOMES OF THE WORKSHOP
WHAT WE DON’T WANT

Nothing is accomplished. There is a lack of direction with no product, vision, or goals.
That I learn nothing and nothing is accomplished and we gain nothing together. We leave angry
and frustrated, with a lack of accomplishment and no change.

We wasted our time.
We would regard the whole exercise as a waste of time and people leave
discouraged. There is the general sense of time having been wasted. Time is wasted because
lessons are forgotten within a few days. We would not be any better off, experience a loss of
sleep and a return with a disgruntled partner at home.

There is no consensus.
We will have no collaborative team, or a team that lacks cohesion.
There was no real discussion of issues, or too many goals ~ like last year. There will be
excessive focus on consensus in our meetings and as a result, we achieve no consensus.

Trust is lost if it doesn’t go well.
The issue of trust is not addressed. We experience anger and
lack of trust and teamwork. We are ridiculed for our work by those that are not here.

We do not strengthen relationships.
We leave without an understanding of how we can work
together effectively and not respect each other and not know this group better. We leave with
dysfunctional relationships and damaged relationships.

There will be a catastrophic Meltdown!
We fight and people leave or there is meltdown of the
group resulting in a catastrophic event. People who at the moment get along and respect each
other develop disrespect for each other and shame each other. We have a giant earthquake, city
hall collapses, and we all die.

4
