ORDINANCE. NO. ~ 8 g oo_ <br />AN ORDINANCE CONCERNING GFF STREET PARKING RE- <br />QUIREMENTS; AMENDING SECTIaNS 9.254, 9.584 AND <br />9.595 OF THE EUGENE. CODE, 1971. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN A5 FoI~L4WS. <br />Section 1. Section 9.254 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by inserting in alphabetical order thexein the fallowing <br />defintions for Compact/Sub-compact vehicles and Standard Size Vehi- <br />cles, and by amending the definition for Parking Space, all to read <br />and provide: <br />9.254 Definitions, For purposes of sections 9.250 to 9.988 <br />the following axe defined as indicated; provided, how- <br />ever, that for purposes a~f sections 9.88 to 9.491 the defini- <br />tions in section 2.405 shall prevail i,f in conflict with the <br />definitions in this section: <br />Campact~Sub-compact Vehicle. Any vehicle which <br />~~~. <br />has a tua~ning di~amete~ of 36~~~~~eet Q inches or less. <br />Standard Size Vehicle. Any passenger vehicle <br />which has a turning diameter of more than 36 feet ~ <br />inches . <br />Parking Space A permanen,t~.y maintained space <br />with~prope~ access for one automobile as indicated <br />in section 9.584 to 9.598. <br />Section 2. Section 9.584 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by adding thereto a new subsection, to read and provide: <br />9.584 Paxkin Area Desi n. <br />~6~ A portion of a paxking lot, not to exceed a maximum <br />of 30 a of the total number of spaces , in accord with Table ~ 2 } <br />of section 9.594, may be reser~red for compact and/or subcom- <br />pact vehicles only, and shall be so designated by adequate sign- <br />ing. When utilized in co~jun,ction with a layout for standard <br />size vehicles in a parki~,g bay module, the maximum "D" dimension <br />shall govern. Parking lot layout and compact vehicle stall loca- <br />tions are subject to approval of the building official. <br />Section 3.
