I88~3 <br />4, No owner shall sell, transfer, or other- <br />wise convey a private dwelling without first <br />installing smoke detectors within the dwelling as <br />prescribed in section la. X22 ~1} as amended. <br />~ b} Every existing and new structure or building <br />with a group SR occupancy, Divisions 1 and 2 shall be <br />equipped with an approved electrically supervised fire <br />alarm and detector system. Audible alarm devices shall <br />be capable of being heard throughout the building. All <br />rooms utilized for sleeping purposes and the exit <br />systems} shall be provided with electrically supervised <br />automatic part isles-of -combustion detection systems con- <br />forming to the provisions of NFPA No. 72-A, 1975 <br />Edition. Structures more than two stories or facilities <br />utilizing more than one building shall provide annun- <br />ciation capabilities sa located to provide the most <br />direct alerting of the persan~s} immediately responsible <br />for the protected room, zone or area, <br />All combustion detection, fire alarm and automatic <br />sprinkler systems shall be electrically interconnected <br />and have an automatic auxiliary power supply acceptable <br />to the State Fire Marshal which will maintain operating <br />energy for a period of at least eight hours. <br />The building owner or his designee shall inspect <br />and service each detector every six months. A record <br />shall be maintained for each detector listing the date <br />installed, dates inspected, and dates serviced. <br />This record shall be available for inspection by the <br />fire marshal. <br />tZ0} Section 11.101 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read: <br />Section 11.101 -Outdoor Burnin and Fire Hazards. <br />~a} Except as subsection ~2} of this section <br />allows, no person may kindle, maintain, or allow to be <br />kindled or maintained on premises under his control, an <br />outdoor fire« <br />fib} The following outdoor fires are permissible: <br />~a} Fires used for cooking only. <br />fib} Recreation fires in fire pits in offi- <br />cially approved campsites. <br />~c} Fires set and maintained for training <br />public fire protection personnel in fire fighting. <br />~d} Fire set and maintained by written per- <br />mission of the fire marshal to remove ar alleviate <br />a fire hazard. <br />~c} No person may accumulate or allow to accumu- <br />late on premises under his control materials that the <br />fire marshal deems to constitute a fire hazard. The <br />fire marshal or his representative shall notify such a <br />person of the hazard. Within 72 hours after receiving <br />the notice the person shall remove the hazard. <br />-~15-- <br />
