18843 <br />X21} Sections 11,102 through 11.116 pertaining to <br />inceneratars and open burning are hereby deleted from the <br />Uniform Fire Code. <br />~22~ Section ?7.105 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read: <br />Section 77,105. Bond Re wired ~Blastin ~, Before <br />a permit is issued, as required by Subsection ~a}3, of <br />Section 77.104, the applicant shall file with the juris- <br />diction a corporate surety band in the principal sum of <br />$500,000 or a public liability insurance policy far the <br />same amount for the purpose of the payment of all dama- <br />ges to persons or property which arise from, or are <br />caused by, the conduct of ,any act authorized by the per- <br />mit upon which any legal judgment results. The chief <br />may specify a greater or lesser amount when, in his opi-~ <br />neon, conditions at the lac atian of use indicate a <br />greater or lesser amount is required. Public ag necies <br />shall be exempt from this bond requirement, <br />~23~ Section 77.203 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read: <br />Section 77.203. Class I Ma azines. Class I <br />Magazines shall not be permitted in the City. <br />~24~ Section 78.101 of the Uniform Fire Cade is <br />amended to read: <br />Section 78,101 Fireworks - Defined, Fireworks means any <br />i i i i u+rrr~rruurrrrnn~ur_~.r.mrr..r.~~nnnnurrrrmonnirnirr.r_r.inrnmrrr.~r~ui~imimrr. <br />combustible or explosive composition or substance, ar any <br />combination of such compositions or substances, ar any other <br />article which is prepared for the purpose of providing a <br />visible or audible effect by combust ion ~ explosion, def lagra- <br />tian, or detonation. The ward includes blank cartridges and <br />toy cannons in which explosives are used, balloons which <br />require fire underneath to propel them, firecrackers, tar -- <br />pedoes, skyrockets, Roman candles, bombs, rockets, wheels, <br />colored fires, fountains, mines, serpents, and other articles <br />of like construction. The word also inlludes any article <br />containing an explosive or flamnable compound and any tablet <br />or other device containing an explosive substance or flam- <br />mable compound. <br />~25~ Section 78.102 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read: <br />Section 78.102. Fireworks - Exclusions. The word <br />"fireworks" does not include toy pistols, toy canes, toy <br />guns, or other devices in which paper caps containing ,25 <br />grains or less of explosive compound are used and for which <br />the rate of burning and explosive force of materials are not <br />greater than an equivalent weight of F.F.F,C, black powder, <br />and which are sa constructed that the hand cannot come in <br />contact with the cap when in place for explosion and the <br />major explosive farce is contained or dispelled within the <br />housing ar shell of the device with no visible flame during <br />discharge, no flaming or smoldering of components or parts of <br />the device after da.scharge, and without heat sufficient to <br />-16- <br />
