88~t3 <br />2, Sparklers, <br />3, Snakes and similar smoke-producing <br />material that contains not more than 100 <br />grains of combustible substance, and that pro- <br />duces na visible flame during discharge, no <br />after-smoldering, and insufficient heat to <br />ignite readily combustible materials upon <br />which the devices ar materials are placed, <br />X29} Section 78.106 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read: <br />Sec, 78,106. Fireworks - Seizure. The fire <br />marshal shall seize and remove, or cause to be seized <br />and removed, at the expense of the owner, all stocks of <br />f fireworks, sold, offered or exposed for sale, stored, or <br />held in violation of this article. <br />~30~ Section 78.107 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />added to read: <br />See, 78.107. Fireworks - Location of A roved <br />Stands, <br />Sales of articles described in Section 78,105, subsec- <br />tions 2 and 3, shall be conducted only from approved <br />stands out of doors, Such stands shall be located a <br />minimum of 10 feet from combustible buildings, com-~ <br />bustible building wall openings in non--combustible <br />buildings, and spaces where vehicles are allowed to <br />park. The location, arrangement and operation of the <br />stand shall be in compliance with all reasonable rules <br />and regulations adopted and enforced by the fire chief. <br />X31} Sections 78,108 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />added to read: <br />Section 78.108. Fireworks- Liabilit Insurance, <br />Persons applying for permits pursuant to <br />Section 78.104 Eby ~l} shall furnish liability insurance <br />or other form of indemnity in an amount not less than <br />$500, 000 conditioned for payment of all damages which <br />may be caused either to a person or property by reason <br />of the authorized display or sale and arising from any <br />acts of the applicant, his or her agents, employees or <br />subcontractors. <br />X323 Section 82.101 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read: <br />Sec, 82.101.
