188y3 <br />8 2-1 and 8 2-2 shall govern the design, installation and <br />construction of containers and equipment for the storage <br />and handling of liquified petrolum gases, including uti- <br />lity gas plants, In case of a conf list the NFPA <br />Pamphlets shall control. <br />434 Section 82.103 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read: <br />Sec. 82.103. Li uified Petroleum Gas - <br />Definitions, <br />1. The term "liquified petroleum gas" means any <br />material that is composed predominantly of any of the <br />following hydrocarbons or mixtures of them: Propane, <br />Prophlene, Butane whether normal Butane or iso-Butanes , <br />and Butylene. <br />2, The term "liquified petroleum gas equipment" <br />means all containers, piping exclusive of utility <br />distribution piping systems, and equipment pertinent to <br />the storage and handling of liquified petroleum gas, but <br />no gas-consuming appliances, <br />~35~ Section 82.104 of the Uniform Fire Code is <br />amended to read; <br />Sec. 82,104. Li uified Petroleum Gas -- Permits <br />Re orts, The fire marshal shall be notified prior to <br />the tenth of each month by the installer of all new <br />installations made during the preceding month of con- <br />tainers or receptacles for liquified petroleum gas, <br />including installations for private homes and apart- <br />ments, The installer shall certify on a form provided <br />by the fire marshal that all such new installations are <br />duly and properly reported. The fire marshal may <br />require that the notification include the location and <br />description of the installation and the name of the <br />user, All fees due and payable as provided in this sec- <br />tion, shall accompany the notification. The replacement <br />of empty containers or receptacles with other containers <br />constructed in accordance with Interstate Commerce <br />Commission specifications shall not be considered such <br />new installation as to require notification to the fire <br />marshal or necessitate further inspection of the <br />installation.
