QZ5,. 3.130, <br />3.135, 3.140, 3.145, 3.1,GQ, AND 3.165 of THE <br />EUGENE CODE , l9 71; ADD I~G SECTfiONS~ 3.15 2 , 3.17 Q , <br />3.17 2 , 3.17 3 , AND 3.17 4 TO THAT CODE ; AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES oRDATN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Section 3.QD5 of the Eugene Code, 1971, is hereby <br />amended by amending the definition of Ambulance, and adding in alpha- <br />betical order therein definitions fox First Aid vehicle and Invalid <br />or ~~heel-Chair Coach, to provide as follows: <br />3.445 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter, the <br />following words and phrases shall mean: <br />Ambulance. A privately owned motor vehicle for <br />hire that is constructed, equipped, or regularly pro- <br />vided or offered to be provided for the emergency <br />transportation or transportation in the recumbent <br />position of persons suffering from illness, injury, <br />or disability. <br />First Ai.d ~Iehc~,e. A privately owned orator ve- <br />hicle for hire that is constructed, equipped, or regu- <br />larly provided for the nonemergency transportation in <br />the. sitting or non-recumbent position of persons <br />suffering from illness, injury, or disability, and not <br />requiring ambulance service. <br />First Aid ~Tehicle Operator, A person engaged in <br />th.e business of furn~sh.ing or operating a first aid <br />vehicle. <br />~nya~,.d arW.hee~,-chair Coach.. A privately owned <br />rotor veh.c~,e ~fQr hirethat is constructed, equipped, <br />or re~ular~,y provided or offered to be provided for the <br />none~nergency transportation of persons in wheel chairs, <br />or requiring .such transportation for reasons related to <br />age ~or a ehroni,c health. condition and not requiring an <br />ambulance. <br />~2:ny~l~id ~or ~heel~-~~chair Coach 4~perator.
