In the case of multiple units, the <br />approach to the complex must be marked with the <br />. address number or range of numbers in accordance <br />with subsections 2, and 3, above. In addition, <br />each individually numbered unit must have its num- <br />ber displayed within two feet of its main exterior <br />. access door. Each separate dwelling unit must <br />have its awn distinctive identifier, which may be <br />. arabic numerals, english letters, or a combination <br />. of such numerals and letters. <br />5. Owners of all apartment units, mobile home <br />parks,, and other multiple--unit dwellings shall <br />submit or cause to be submitted to the Eugene <br />Police Department a legible map indicating the <br />'~ locations and numbers of apartments/spaces. <br />~~ ~_c~ No owner, agent or other person having can- <br />teal of a dwelling or business building shall refuse <br />or neglect to permanently number the same prior to the. <br />request for a final building inspection required by <br />. Chapter 8 of the Eugene Code, 1971. For purposes of this subsec- <br />tion and subsection ~f}, "having control of" includes <br />a person occupying or utilizing the building or unit <br />under a rental or lease agreement.} <br />~d} Numbering shall be temporarily installed in <br />compliance with subsections [a} and fib} of this section, <br />on any construction site or upon any structure under <br />construction prior to any call for an inspection requir- <br />ed by Chapter $ of the Eugene Cade, 191. <br />.. ~:e} Dwellings and business bui~-ldings in annexed <br />areas shall be numbered in accordance with subsections <br />~a} and ~-b} of this section and to conform to the <br />. 'c-ity's block numbering system. <br />~-f} No owner, agent, or other person having con- <br />. trol of an existing dwelling or business building shall <br />refuse or neglect~to number the same within thirty X34} <br />. ~ days after being notified in writing to da so by the <br />building official or other enforcement authority. Num- <br />.: Bering shall comply with subsections ~a} and fib} of <br />this section. It shall be sufficient to show notifica- <br />. ~tion that the notice be delivered personally or mai.led~ <br />-certified mail, restricted delivery, return receipt re- <br />quested, to the last known address of the owner or <br />agent, or to the person having control at the address <br />of the affected structure. <br />~.g} The foregoing provisions may be enforced <br />by the building official, his designee, the fire marshal, <br />Qrdinance - ~ <br />
