Now, therefore, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FQLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Based upon the above findings, and the findings <br />contained in the amendments and in the original Metropolitan Area <br />General Plan which are incorporated herein by reference, and upon <br />the hearing before this Council, the 1982 Amendments to the Au ust <br />g , <br />1980 Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan {Metro Plan, <br />including the text, and representational diagram set forth therein, <br />including the numbered and identified changes to the presentl <br />y <br />adopted plan diagram, a copy of which is attached hereto and incor- <br />posted herein by reference, is hereby adopted as Amendments to the <br />August, 1980 Eugene-Springfield Metropolitan Area General Plan. <br />Section 2. That the matters contained herein concern the pub- <br />lic welfare and safety, and in order for the Land Conservation and <br />Development Commission to consider the City's request for an amended <br />acknowledgment of compliance, including establishment of an urban <br />growth boundary at the earliest possible time, it is necessary for <br />this ordinance to be immediately effective; therefore, an emergency <br />is hereby declared to exist, and this Ordinance shall be effective <br />immediately upon its passage by the City Council and a roval b th <br />pp y e <br />Mayer. <br />Passed by the City Council this <br />~` day of ~ 1982 <br />City Reco er <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />day o f ~~~~ 19 8 2 <br />i <br />Mayor <br />Ordinance - 2. <br />
