<br />Administrative Order <br /> <br />Parks, Recreation and eultural Services Department <br />eity of Eugene, Oregon <br /> <br />AMENDING PARK RULE 1.007 <br /> <br />The Executive Director of the Parks, Recreation and eultural <br />Services Department (PAReS) of the eity of Eugene finds that: <br /> <br />A. Under the provisions of Park Rule 1.007, the <br />consumption of malt beverages and alcoholic liquor, other than <br />hard liquor, is permitted in all park areas except those set <br />forth in subparagraphs (a) to (h) of Rule 1.007. <br /> <br />B. In order to effectively enforce the purpose and intent <br />of Rule 1.007, it should be amended to provide that possession of <br />any receptacle containing any alcoholic liquor which has been <br />opened or had the seal broken is also permitted in park areas, <br />except those set forth in subparagraphs (a) to (h) of Rule 1.007. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />The Executive Director of the PARes Department of the eity <br />of Eugene orders and directs that: <br /> <br />section 1. Based upon the above findings, and pursuant to <br />the authority contained in section 2.812 et sea of the Eugene <br />Code, 1971, Park Rule 1.007 as amended herein, is hereby adopted: <br /> <br />1.007 <br /> <br />POSSESSION OR eONSUMPTION OF MALT BEVERAGES <br />AND ALeOHOLIe LIQUOR. <br /> <br />Consumption of hard liquor, or possession of <br />any receptacle containing any hard liquor is prohibited <br />ln all park areas. Possession of any receptacle <br />containing alcoholic liquor or a malt beverage which <br />has been opened or had the seal broken or the contents <br />of which have been partially removed, or consumption of <br />malt beverages and alcoholic liquor is permitted in all <br />park areas except within: <br /> <br />(a) Children's playground areas; <br />(b) Athletic fields; <br />(c) Wading pools; <br />(d) Swimming pools; <br />(e) Tennis courts; <br />(f) Parking lots; <br />(g) Rest rooms; and <br />(h) The following specific areas: <br />1. Alton Baker Park: Prohibited <br />throughout, except for the picnic shelters; <br />2. Amazon Park: Prohibited within the <br />Amazon Center, except by special <br /> <br />Administrative Order Amending Park Rules - 1 <br />
