Administrative Order Parks, Recreation and eultural Services Department eity of Eugene, Oregon AMENDING PARK RULE 1.007 The Executive Director of the Parks, Recreation and eultural Services Department (PAReS) of the eity of Eugene finds that: A. Under the provisions of Park Rule 1.007, the consumption of malt beverages and alcoholic liquor, other than hard liquor, is permitted in all park areas except those set forth in subparagraphs (a) to (h) of Rule 1.007. B. In order to effectively enforce the purpose and intent of Rule 1.007, it should be amended to provide that possession of any receptacle containing any alcoholic liquor which has been opened or had the seal broken is also permitted in park areas, except those set forth in subparagraphs (a) to (h) of Rule 1.007. NOW, THEREFORE, The Executive Director of the PARes Department of the eity of Eugene orders and directs that: section 1. Based upon the above findings, and pursuant to the authority contained in section 2.812 et sea of the Eugene Code, 1971, Park Rule 1.007 as amended herein, is hereby adopted: 1.007 POSSESSION OR eONSUMPTION OF MALT BEVERAGES AND ALeOHOLIe LIQUOR. Consumption of hard liquor, or possession of any receptacle containing any hard liquor is prohibited ln all park areas. Possession of any receptacle containing alcoholic liquor or a malt beverage which has been opened or had the seal broken or the contents of which have been partially removed, or consumption of malt beverages and alcoholic liquor is permitted in all park areas except within: (a) Children's playground areas; (b) Athletic fields; (c) Wading pools; (d) Swimming pools; (e) Tennis courts; (f) Parking lots; (g) Rest rooms; and (h) The following specific areas: 1. Alton Baker Park: Prohibited throughout, except for the picnic shelters; 2. Amazon Park: Prohibited within the Amazon Center, except by special Administrative Order Amending Park Rules - 1
