ORD INA~~~CE NO. 18 9 61 <br />AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A USER FEE <br />WITH THE EUGENE PERFORMING ARTS <br />SECTIONS 3.814 AND 3,812 TO THE <br />AMENDING SECTION 3.990 OF THAT <br />SECTION 3.996 OF THAT CODE; A~~D <br />EMERGENCY. <br />TAx IN CONNECTION <br />CENTER; ADDING <br />EUGENE CODE, 1971: <br />ODE; REPEALING <br />DECLARING AN <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FQLLQwS: <br />Section 1. The following heading and sections are hereby added <br />to the Eugene Cade, 1971, to read and provide as follows: <br />EUGENE PERFORMING ARTS CENTER - PATRON USER FEE <br />3.814 Eugene Performing Arts Center Patron User Fee. <br />~l} For purposes of this section, the following words <br />and phrases mean: <br />Admission fee. The dollar amount charged, whether <br />or not received, for entry to an event. <br />Event. A performance, presentation, demonstration, <br />exhibition, or meeting at the Eugene Performing Arts <br />Center to which the public is invited. <br />Person. As defined in subsection fie} of section <br />3.770 of this chapter. <br />~2} For the privilege of attending an event there is <br />hereby added to the admission fee for each attendee a patron <br />user fee of $0.25. The patron user fee shall be: <br />~.a} collected at the time the admission fee is <br />paid, <br />~.b} in addition to the admission fee, and <br />~.c} separately stated on any receipt for the <br />admission fee. <br />3.812 Eugene Performin. Arts Center Patron User Fee - Admin- <br />istration and Collection. <br />~l} Collection of admission fees and patron user fees <br />far all events shall be under the direction and control of the <br />city manager. The city manager may contract with persons to <br />collect admission fees and patron user fees. The city manager <br />may adopt rules and regulations to insure all fees are collect- <br />ed. The rules and regulations may provide for the payment of <br />the fees by the use of credit cards. <br />~2} The city manager or his or her designate shall de- <br />posit all patron user fees collected pursuant to section 3.810 <br />in the Performing Arts Unearned Income Fund. <br />~3} No official or employee of the city may disclose <br />any information regarding the business of a person required to <br />Ordinance - 1 <br />
